What Information will be collected
Toyota (GB) PLC (We / Us / Toyota / Lexus UK) will be what’s known as the ‘Data Processor’ of the personal data you provide as part of your application. The specific approve Toyota/Lexus Centre you apply for a role at will be known as the ‘Data Controller’
As we cannot be certain as to whom you will apply, Toyota GB PLC will act as the Data Controller for the facilitation of your data rights.
As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide the following data:
Why we need it and what we do with it
We need to know your basic personal data in order for the advertising centre to process your application, The legal basis for processing this data has been determined as legitimate interest. Your email address will be used by the advertising centre to contact you in relation to your application, and where provided your phone number may be used for the same purpose. Your CV and any information provided in the free text field will be used to assess your suitability for the role.
Where you sign up to receive email updates about similar roles, we will also use your email address for sending you the requested notifications. The legal basis for processing this data has been determined as legitimate interest
We will not collect any personal data from you, we do not need in order to provide and oversee this process to you.
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the European Union. We may also share your data with legal and regulatory bodies if required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
This data will not be retained by Toyota (GB) PLC, however it will be retained by the advertising centre for as long as necessary to process your application.
What are your rights?
In accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have a number of rights which can be found at Data Subject Rights. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
