We are looking for a driven Showroom Manager who will be responsible for managing the daily business of the showroom by providing a physical presence and managing all customer interaction; this role is an integral part of the customer experience. You will be supporting the Sales Manager in managing the sales environment, focusing on achieving and exceeding sales targets whilst maximising profit gained from each transaction. Managing every enquiry and maintaining the potential for repeat business by delivering the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities as a Showroom Manager will be:
- Conduct a daily review of enquiry activities to ensure that every opportunity is fully explored and a follow up strategy is in place for each potential opportunity; ensuring all enquires are handled to the highest standards
- Liaise with the General and Sales Manager to meet departmental targets
- To manage the sales team, to ensure they achieve volume and margin targets
- Support Sales Executives in structuring profitable deals and finance packages
- To have the very best vehicle displays and forecourt areas.
- To manage the sales process and have an integral part within that with the customers.
- Control all aspects of the sales process from enquiry to handover
· Ensuring optimal stock levels of new and used vehicles on premises and in the pipeline.
- Have active involvement in daily briefings, keeping the Sales Manager and Team updated with the actions and activities of the department.
- Manage each customer enquiry from start to finish. Assisting the Sales Manager to lead the team, scrutinising each enquiry and ensuring that there is a robust process followed to follow every opportunity and maintain the required level of prospect activity.
- Construct the customer deal, including the sale of finance solutions, value added products and service plans, thereby ensuring an efficient and profitable contribution to the Retailer.
- Assist the Team to identify customer needs, coaching them to use effective questioning and listening techniques.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Target-driven, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Previous managerial experience
- Proven track record within a retail environment
- High levels of commitment to providing the best customer care.
- A positive and friendly attitude in the work environment.
- A professional approach with the ability to mentor others
- Strong attention to detail and compliance
- Strong understanding of finance products and compliance
