Based in the South and South-West of England, Snows Motor Group is an AM Top 50 automotive retailer covering 20 brands across 54 franchises. We differentiate ourselves from our competitors by delivering an exceptional level of service to both our customers and manufacturing partners. Due to growth, we are currently looking to recruit a Head of Toyota & Lexus Fleet Sales to oversee our established Toyota and Lexus brands, and be based in Southampton.
This role is focused on ensuring the established Sales Team drive sales forward.
Your day
The Toyota and Lexus Fleet Manager role is to achieve sales and financial targets by the effective development of the Sales Department plans and budgets in accordance with the criteria set out by the Brands. This includes:
- To direct and manage the Corporate Sales Managers and Fleet sales operations to ensure profit maximisation and realisation of sales targets.
- To proactively reach out to customers through emails and phone calls to offer them products and services.
- Visiting clients or arrange meetings with customers to discuss how their products can effectively meet the needs of the customer. You will look to offer solutions from the brand they represent first and foremost but will also push the wider Group opportunity whenever appropriate.
- To deliver sales pitches and presentations to clients where you will highlight the benefits of products on offer to customers and encourage them to make a purchase.
- To ensure we work closely with the manufacturer on any larger opportunity to ensure the potential is fully leveraged and the best possible terms are offered to the customer.
- To be effective on his/her role, the Toyota and Lexus Fleet Manager discusses with customers to find out what exactly their needs are and assist them in selecting appropriate products / services that suit the desired specifications.
- To motivate and provide guidance to the corporate sales team to enable them to improve on their sales performance, and to reach the set goals. You will regularly review this with all members of the corporate sales team and will reward success and support under-achievers as appropriate.
- Assessing the performance of the sales team and their productivity.
- Assigning and designating sales quotas and leads to sales teams, according to individual potential.
- To partner with the marketing team to work out strategies and plans for enhancing the overall sales of the company whilst always ensuring brand compliance.
- To ensure the departmental objective and marketing activities conform to the sales target.
- To carry out research to unveil information that can lead to greater sales, such as market trends, viable leads, and avenues for new sales opportunities.
- Compiling, analysing, and interpreting sales data to produce reports on sales performance that can be used by the management team for making the right decisions for the company.
- To provide effective aftersales support and services to customers to maximise revenue streams and ensure long-term and meaningful relationships are built with corporate customers.
- Preparing and presenting periodic budgets / sales forecast to management; you may also offer recommendations on appropriate action plan to take to improve operations of the business.
- To arrange meetings to discuss the dealerships’ fleet sales activities, develop strategies, and take necessary decisions that can improve company performance.
- You will work to promote a strong team ethic across the division and ensure best practice is shared and utilised wherever possible.
- To attend conferences, events, and trade shows to expand their personal network and increase job knowledge.
- To be able to communicate a passion for the brand being represented.
- To work closely with the Manufacturer(s) and manage the relationship with key contacts within their Fleet departments.
- To push the company’s agenda with the Manufacturer(s) wherever possible and will cascade information gained as appropriate.
Have you got what it takes?
- Technical knowledge gained in retail motor industry.
- Numerate and articulate.
- A full driving licence.
- Inspiring leadership and teamwork.
- Delivers Excellent Customer Service - experience in a similar sales environment.
- Develops self and others - has experience managing a team.
- Delivers result and makes things happen - has experience of a target driven sales environment.
- Sound experience and knowledge of both Toyota and Lexus brands and operating practices would be desirable.

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30 (1 hour for lunch)
Weekends – as required by business needs
