The Vehicle Technician Role:
As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our team to maintain our position as the UK's market leader.
We are looking for a driven individual who wants to help develop our sales process and offer permanent support to our sales colleagues to ensure all new and used vehicles are prepped on time for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out vehicle services and repairs:
+ Working as part of the workshop team to carry out scheduled vehicle service and repair work
+ Examining vehicles and diagnoses non-routine defects, either in the workshop or during a road test,
+ Reporting defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards
+ Carrying out each job within the budgeted time as set out on job card
+ Working in accordance with workshop and dealership Health & Safety requirements
+ Taking personal responsibility for the daily maintenance of workshop equipment, and reporting equipment defects or problems that need attention
Working in Accordance with our Key Processes:
+ Following key processes to achieve specified quality and efficiency targets
+ Working with the centre to develop improved, more efficient processes
Liaising Directly with Customers where Appropriate:
+ Talking to customers to summarise the details of the work required or carried out, and answering their questions
+ Offering customers a detailed technical explanation (where this is required) in a way that recognises their level of technical proficiency
+ Listening carefully to customers and building rapport and understanding during these discussions (where possible) to deliver customer satisfaction
About you:
+ Confident communicating with various people
+ Fast learner when picking up specific skills and techniques
+ Passionate about the automotive industry and interested in working for the largest automotive manufacturer in the world
+ Process driven and happy with technical skills
+ Generally organised in the workplace
